Though the movie is not directly about soldiers, it is more about how a small lie can destroy the lives of people, it is still worth watching. A 13-year-old girl, called Briony, spies on her older sister Cecilia and their gander Robbie. The situation gets only worse when the young girl accidentally sees the couple kissing. The imagination of the girl makes her lie that Robbie is a rapist. And this lie ruins the life of the couple forever. Robbie is sent to the war, and only God knows whether the couple will ever unite again.
Descendants of the sun, 2016
This drama tells the story of doctor Kang Mo Yeon and Captain Yoo Shi Jin who works in the South Korean Special Forces. They meet in the hospital when Shi Jin is chasing a thief. He immediately falls in love and asks Mo Yeon on a date. However, their relationship is stopped by their views on human lives and the constant duty calls of Shi Jin. Still, if something is meant by destiny, there is nothing in the world that can make these people part. The couple meets again when Mo Yeon becomes a part of a medical clinic team. Both of them get involved in a rescue operation, and they understand that feelings are still there. You will like this film if you enjoy action stories with a lot of romance inside.
Pearl Harbor, 2001
This American romantic war drama stars Ben Affleck, Kate Beckinsale, and Josh Harnett. The film is about a love story happening during World War II when Japan attacks the US Pacific Fleet. Rafe and Danny have been friends since childhood and both are pilots. The love story between Evelyn and Rafe is interrupted when he is sent on a mission and shot over the English channel. Rafe is considered dead. Sharing one grief, Evelyn and Danny fall in love with each other, when suddenly Rafe returns. To make the situation even harsher, the war attack starts. The story is about duty, friendship, and love that can overcome any hardships.

Cassie and Luke both have their life problems. Cassie is a poor girl who has to work many jobs to afford her diabetes treatment and musical career. Luke is a former addict who still owes money and now serves in the army and is soon going to Iraq. They decide to marry so as to get access to military insurance for Cassie and a higher salary for Luke. A pure deal, in the beginning, their marriage is destined to become something more. Luke is sent to Iraq and soon gets severy hurt. Now, he is in a wheelchair and has to go through a lengthy rehab. The story is not only about romance and love, but also about other hot topics for American society, such as poverty, access to medical help, and drugs.
Dear John, 2009
John serves in the US Army Special Forces. During one of his leaves, he meets Savannah, a college student. They go on a couple of dates and quickly fall in love with each other. Before John leaves they promise each other to send messages and go on with their relationship. They plan to start their life together after John’s discharge from the army. However, their plans are ruined by the September 11 attack. John extends his army deployment. Now their feelings are tested by uncertainty, duty, and distance. This beautiful movie tells a story about pure romance and strong moral values. It won’t leave you untouched.
The Lucky Man, 2012
Logan is serving in Iraq. During one of the attacks, he gets distracted by a photo of a girl and “keep safe” written on it. This second of being delayed saves his life and prevents him from dying in a bomb explosion. After he returns to the US, Logan tries to find the woman in the photo who unintentionally saved his life. This is how he meets Beth. It appears that the photo belonged to her brother and also one of the soldiers who died that day. A connection starts to develop between the two, persuading Logan to stay. You will like this movie if you like a good romance with a happy ending.
